D Ramacciotti announced plans for a six story fireproof Professional Arts Building in the Public Square southwest corner. Construction begins within two weeks on the old Central Office Building site, featuring 17 000 square feet of offices 4500 square feet on the ground floor and a lavish air cooling and heating system across two zones per floor. The project includes double glass windows limestone trim buff brick and a 2000 pound capacity elevator. Ramacciotti a long time Hagerstown businessman and Italian native now US citizen started in the fruit trade in 1893 and later built the Commercial Building addition in 1920.
