Rev W M Norment pastor of First Christian Church spoke on Religion and life to the Lions Club at a luncheon. He said Christianity is constructive and builds complete lives with no remorse nor regrets, guiding honesty, truthfulness, cooperation and daily practicality. Legion Considers Buying North Antietam Street Home
The American Legion plans to buy a three story stucco home on Antietam Street between Potomac and Lacuat streets for about 20000. A committee with Colonel Joan Carmichael, Hubert Stottlemyer, and Norman B. Scott will present the proposal at a near. term meeting and a second committee will form a ladies auxiliary led by L. O. Campbell with a social to organize it. The club house would be opened and auxiliary active by the Maryland State Legion convention in August.

Driver Hurt And Two Horses Killed In W Va Train Accident
Two horses were killed and farmer Romanta Michael of Berkel Epringz West Virginia was badly injured when a Western Maryland freight train bound Cumberland to Hagerstown struck his team at Cobill's crossing near Hancock yesterday at 5 PM. One horse died instantly. the other was shot after suffering severe injuries. Michael, who did not hear the approach, was taken to Dr. Sagers' Hancock office for head and body injuries. He stood in the wagon bed when the crash occurred.
