A C Merriam Found Dead In Car In Baltimore
Arthur C Merriam Jr a former senior State Bank Examiner was found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in his car. His mother in law Mrs Mary M Durbin discovered the body in the garage. Coroner Dr Joseph L Valentini ruled probable accidental death. Merriam had been dead five or six hours when found. He had resigned four weeks earlier after fourteen years in the state bank examiners post. He was well known in Hagerstown where he had resided for years.
