In Frederick Maryland on January 10 the murder trial of Evelyn Bajowski faced a jury with one defense witness remaining. The 18 year old accuses Walter Stinnett of shooting William Warren Gantt while she helped move items from the farm house. Stinnett is serving a life term. Margaret Abell also received ten years.

Explosion Shatters Store Windows At Jones Appliance

Another Accused In Bold Hold-Up
Ellis Dunn 37 of Carrollton Avenue was arrested as an accomplice of Smith Betts 36 in the Westminster store clerk holdup. Dunn and Betts, both with criminal records, are linked to a Christmas Eve robbery netting $51. Betts allegedly confessed and named Dunn as the car driver. Patrolman John Knode and Sheriff Walter L. Shipley handled the transfer.
