Hears From Friend After Sixty Years
Otho Poffenberger of this city learns the whereabouts of George W. Dixon of Wapaknota Ohio after sixty years. They were schoolmates at Smoketown one room school and worked on farms. Dixon moved to Hagerstown, then Crawford Bicycle Works, later headed west after his wife’s death. Dixon, age 70, wrote a letter to his town neighborhood friend after reading a Townsend Weekly photo of Poffenberger. Both belong to Townsend Clubs.
