The Washington County Home for Children reports a December holiday season marked by good health among its 42 residents, one eleven year old treated for appendicitis. Aged Man Falls Eighteen Feet At B&O Transit Site
Robert Holmes, 70, was seriously injured after an 18 foot fall from a transit on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad near the Municipal Electric Light Plant yesterday evening. Workmen found him and police transported him to Washington County Hospital. Holmes could not explain the fall stating he was going after cider. a broken jug was found nearby.

Driver Held After Fatal Frederick County Crash
F L Rippeon, 2, of Hagerstown, charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash on the Duckeystown pike near Frederick. Allen Jones, 23, Buckeystown, died after being knocked down and dragged 45 feet by Rippeon's car. Rippeon also faces charges of operating without a license and possessing fictitious plates.
