Drop Reported In Volunteers In Maryland
Col HenryS Barrett, State Director of Air Raid Precautions, said Maryland has 6,000 fewer civilian defense volunteers than last February. Baltimore City lost 24,000 enrollees, while the city’s rolls show 37,088 civilians on the roster with 31,432 trained, 3,844 in training, and 1,012 awaiting training. Counties rose from 62,745 to 69,912, totaling 65,000 trained volunteers. Marines have received parachute training since 1822.

Milk Price Raises Granted In Areas
