J. F. Hand of 920 Hamilton Boulevard was burned about the arms and head when a Christmas tree in his apartment ignited and spread to an adjoining room yesterday afternoon at 1 30. Firemen confined the blaze to two rooms. A short circuit caused by pennies in the fuse box started the fire beneath the tree. The Davenport and a chair were destroyed and the fire reached a bedroom but did not burn its contents. Estimated loss about 700 dollars. An automobile on West Antietam Street caught fire yesterday evening around 4 o'clock with minor damage.
Delegates from Carroll Montgomery Frederick Allegany and Garrett counties meet at the Frederick Courthouse at 1 PM to organize a Production Credit Association.
