Fred Schloter Beck, a local pretzel vendor, suffered a fractured skull when he was thrown from a delivery truck. Emory Metz of Mt Briar was seriously injured when his car struck a vehicle and overturned near Keedge ville. He was unconscious and treated at Lynch's barber shop before being moved to the Washington County capital hospital. The crash occurred around 10 o'clock and involved another driver named Mal Tendora.
At a meeting of the Fraternal Ma tertainment Association of the Jr. C. U. A.M. plans were advanced for the state convention to be held here on April 17 and 18. The event will take place at the Masonic Temple with headquarters at the Daginer Hotel.

Keedysville February 25 The Lutheran Church Women’s Missionary Society announces its annual Week of Prayer beginning February 27. Meetings are scheduled Monday 2 p.m. at Pearl Poftenberger’s home, Tuesday afternoon at Joan Flook’s, Wednesday 7:20 p.m. at P. Kreuter’s, Thursday evening, Lena Snyder, and Friday 2 p.m. at Mrs. Harry Homeburg. The Light Brigade will meet Saturday afternoon March 1 at Leater Hines’s.
