New York Museum May Send Picture To Hagerstown Exhibit
A painting under consideration by a Metropolitan Museum committee has been brought to Hagerstown from New York by Mr. R. Brice Garson and added to the exhibit at his North Potomac Street home. The Everett Peters canvas After the Bath ranks among the Dutch master’s most valuable works shown to the public during his lifetime. Public interest from Jingerstown and surrounding areas has grown, prompting continued display. Visitors from Winchester, Frederick, Martinsburg, Chambersburg and others view Singer canvases and related works, including several small oils, watercolors and pastels by Claggett Spangler.
