St Maria Goretti High School seniors and juniors toured Washington yesterday guided by Principal Sr Marguerites and sisters Eduts and Eugene Marie. The 41 students visited Folger Library FBI Headquarters Smithsonian U S Mint and the Washington Monument. A library book titled Tall Timber Pilots was reported lost by a young boy who asks the finder to return it to the library.

Keedy Becomes Rural Carrier in Purcellville

Sanford Keedy, 40, of Purcellville, becomes rural mail carrier for Route 1 on Saturday. A World War II veteran with the Army’s Third Army, he previously worked eight years for Potomac Edison Co and ran a store in Purcellville. He is married to Goldie Wyand and is the son of George Keedy of Keedysville.

Clubs Prepare For 4-H Week In Washington County

Washington County clubs plan National 4 H Week from March 2 to 9 focusing on improving family and community living. Rescue Squad Relays Patient Across State Lines in Unusual Ambulance Run

Community Rescue Service of Hagerstown coordinated an unusual relay to move a West Virginia patient from Washington County to Clarksburg. Due to illness and lack of funds for private transport, volunteers and neighboring ambulance crews from Martinsburg Winchester Romney Keyser and Ramney assisted, transferring the patient step by step at no profit.

Three Cars In City Crash Involving Local Vehicles

Early yesterday afternoon a collision on North Locust Street and North Avenue involved three automobiles. Police report driver Robert A. Cottrill of 438 North Malg era ran his car into two northbound vehicles. Ell eg iberger of 602 Brighton Place and Charles E. Ringaman of Potomac Avenue were among the other drivers. The incident delayed traffic as investigators noted no critical injuries.
