Local draft boards have been advised by State Selective Service Headquarters that, so far as the Army is concerned, the only clothing a selectee needs is the outer clothing he wears, a change of underwear and socks, a small supply of handkerchiefs and toilet articles, all of which can be carried in one bag. Everything else will be issued within three days. A partial equipment list includes a long belt, cap, two coats, two drawers, gloves, handkerchiefs, hat, insignias, leggings, neckties, overcoat, rain coat, shirts, shoes, socks, trousers, undershirts, bag, canteen, hammock, knife, identification, Army toilet set, and towels.
