Light Plant Case May Be Settled Soon
The Municipal Light Plant use will likely be decided by March 1 as plans by the Mayor City Council and City Attorney proceed. Judge Wagaman’s ruling on the plant’s erection triggered an injunction and now the case heads to the Court of Appeals with City Attorney Mason coordinating. Several thousand dollars have been spent on preliminaries while the Board of Street Commissioners will push work until the court disposes of the matter. The council also moved funds and discussed tax office renovations and sewerage collection changes. An optimist believes tomorrow holds the happiest day. a Friars Club concert is announced for Sunday at St. John’s.
