Multimillion Dollar Counterfeit Ring Nabbed by Secret Service
Chicago agents cracked a major international counterfeit operation that produced over 2.2 million dollars in bogus tens and twenties. Five Chicago men were arrested, including founders of a West Side printing plant, and two others held. more arrests expected. The ring shipped fake currency nationwide and abroad, with bonds also suspected.

Leo Daniel Biser Miller 36 18 Greenmont Avenue Baltimore died Monday from complications after a three year illness. Born in Washington County he was the son of the late and Florence Miller a Boonsboro High School graduate class of 1917 Johns Hopkins University 1920 chemical engineering. He worked twelve years at National Fruit Products Company then quality control chemist for Chef Boyar di Foods Milton Pennsylvania 1940 to 1947. Since then he was a consultant with a Baltimore firm. He belonged to the American Chemical Society and the Institute of Fruit Technologists. Survived by wife Winifred Gillam Miller brother Clarence near Boonsboro and sisters Mrs H C Kettler Walkersville and Mrs John Stottlemyer Boonsboro. Funeral Thursday Rest Haven Chapel 1d a.m. officiants listed. Viewings Wednesday afternoon and evening at the chapel.
