Miss Elsye Joy a Boston born love columnist with 15 years in print travels from Boston on Oct 4 in an old Chevrolet to speak at 197 clubs across New England and beyond. She aims to talk coast to coast in one year and then write her experiences for a national weekly.
A mixed program of Christmas exercises recitations and music by the church children will be performed in the auditorium at 7 36 this evening. The standout feature will be vocal solos by Rev and Mrs E W Harden and Miss Edna Detrich. Elligible organizers are Mrs G M Lon ter Mrs Lewis Bower and Mrs Cecile Gutelius.
The Hood College Club dance at the Hagerstown Country Club drew a large attendance. The ballroom dazzled with colored lighting as Jerry Harp's orchestra played live from 1 to 1:30. Committee members Calethe Wagner, chair, and Louise Funk, Dorothy Nissley, Louise Dorn, Betty Loy, and Charlotte Dietrich organized the event.
Frances Lane Mason of 120 East Avenue and M S Coleman of Crestline Ohio were married Saturday night at St Marks Lutheran parsonage by Rev J William Ott. The bride's brother and his wife John Lane accompanied them. They will reside near Crestline where Coleman works for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
About 1,000 children filled the Y M C A auditorium for the annual free movie show. The program, donated by the late Lewis T By and Mrs Byron, repeats today at 4 pm and 7 30 pm with two cartoons and a Western thriller courtesy of Henry's Theatre. No tickets needed.
Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Sinnisen of 1106 Hamilton Boulevard quietly celebrate their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary today.
The Ash land College and Seminary Gospel Team of the Brethren Church will conduct services at St James Brethren Church Sunday morning December 31. The team includes four boys. Hiram E Davis known as the Boy Evangelist will deliver the sermon. Services start at 6 08 oclock. Two boys hail from Pennsylvania and two from California.
Miss Letitia Shenk of this city will sing at a New Year Eve musicale at Beacon House in Baltimore. The event honors Miss Lizette Woodworth Reese on her 78th birthday. Also performing are Miss Helen Stokes and Danish pianist Emmanuel Wad, with Mrs. Virginia Castelle as accompanist.
The ExHeY Club pledges five dollars annually to the Washington County Free Library in memory of Miss Misa Mame E Semler an ExHeY Club advisor. Gifts fund wholesome books for youth with a special book plate noting the donor and Miss Semler’s influence.

At the Maryland Late Armory 75 Girl Scouts joined a rally by the Scout Leaders' Association. The event ran from 2 to 4 PM with each troop presenting acts including folk dancing relay races and games. Refreshments followed the program. Twenty one members comprise the Leaders' Association.
Albany N Y Actions to restrain three milk dealers from selling milk and cream until they post bond or guarantee not to violate the Milk Control Law await a decision by the Supreme Court of Albany County. The Eisenberg Farms Sunnydale Farms and Bellach Farms are named in the action aimed at protecting milk price structures in New York State.
In Pittsburgh on December 26, magistrates Leo Rothenberg and George Metzier discharged 105 prisoners who had been brought in on charges of disorderly conduct, as they walked out of the courtroom amid Christmas spirit.

Afterward Miss Louise Shields hosted a small party at her Broadway home.
The Friendly Workers Class of St Pauls United Brethren Sunday school were entertained at Miss Marie McKee’s home 613 West Franklin Street. Decor featured a Christmas shade scheme. Games and prizes followed a short business session and a Christmas program by the flags. Refreshments served to a list of guests including Mia Meta Sterling Mabel Gentmyer Irene Salims Virginia Gruber Pauline Stotlemyer Josephine McKee Agnes Green Virginia Lugar Louise Dellinger Margaret White Frances Horn Frances Nellis Byrem and Marie McKee.
