Fire Plug Hit Twice Same Day
The fire plug at the corner of North Potomac and Charles streets was hit by skidding autos twice yesterday. Around 1 p.m. Rev. Aubrey Young reported his car struck the plug and pushed it about six inches. Two hours later G. W. Comstock said his car skidded into the plug, knocking it back, and later reported a hit-and-run driver damaged his car further while parked at Hillcrest and Dewey avenues.

Farmer slain in kitchen by cold blooded murder
Edwin C. McKinley a 62 year old farmer from Schenecksville Pa was found dead in his kitchen with a bullet wound to the neck. District Attorney Theodore R Gardner called the killing cold blooded and said McKinley was likely shot Thursday night. Neighbor Paul Bittner discovered the body and noted a light burning in the kitchen since Friday.

Tokyo dispatch reports General MacArthur ordered the dismissal of Judge Takeo Ishiwara of Kyoto district court for sentencing a former Japanese Army captain to a lenient 13.13 dollar equivalent fine for arming his disbanded unit. Fined $500 For Shooting Brother In Error
Roy E. Argenbright, 24, of Franklin County, pleaded guilty in Franklin County Court to shooting his brother by mistake while deer hunting on December 7 near Chambersburg. Judge Watson R.
