Shrader Held For Robbery In Early Morning Break-In
Lewis Longabeam testified at Lester Shrader’s hearing on charges of breaking into the grocery store owned by H Garonzik at Jonathan and Church Streets. Longabeam, who lived above the store, woke to a noise, detained Shrader until police arrived, and noted Shrader had whisky earlier with him and a berow driver at arrest. Shrader is held for the February Grand Jury in default of $1000 bond.

Thieves Active Burglarize Barnum's Pharmacy and Stores
Police reports show Barnum's Pharmacy at 282 North Jonathan Street robbed Sunday night. Thieves also attempted to break into a Cleveland Avenue grocery but failed. The drug store entry was through a cellar window and only toilet article sets were taken. A bridge project near Reedysville avoided freezing precautions as temperatures rose to 62 degrees.
