Lions Dine Guests Honor Milk Fund Charity dinner
Families of babies aided by the Lions Club milk fund and some infants were guests of honor at a Lions dinner at The Club yesterday evening. Captain Langley Andrews of the Salvation Army praised welfare work and youth programs, urging constructive paths and civic duty. The milk fund, started in January 1924, has distributed over 6500 dollars in milk. next Tuesday luncheon will feature Phoebe Omlie speaking.

Fire causes death and injuries at Baltimore rag factory
A Baltimore blaze at the Atlantic Rag Company building killed one firefighter and injured 16 others. Officials say spontaneous combustion started the fire, and Chief Howard Travers is to report to the board of fire commissioners on Friday. The Monday night blaze razed the factory premises.

Sheriff Charles Price said Sidney Born Jr. may have been murdered and did not die by self inflicted wound as police claimed. Funeral Services Largely Attended for County Commissioner-elect
Funeral services at St. Pauls Church along Western Pike drew many relatives and neighbors as tributes were paid to F Tilghman Fiery County Commissioner-elect who died Sunday from injuries after a fall. Officiants were Rev W K Diehl and Rev Dr J Edward Harms with honorary pallbearers including county and city officials and Republican officials. Interment followed in a neighboring cemetery.
