Swedish Youth Reports on Education to Optimists
Goran Lamberthz a Swedish youth and North High student under the American Field Service spoke at the Optimist Club lunch in Venice Motel. He compared Swedish and American education noting government paid boarding and longer compulsory military service and said Swedes are more individualistic while Americans are more club oriented. He described a small seacoast town of Kisa and that Swedish schools have liberal dress codes and frequent short class breaks. The talk was introduced by William G. Rees and a club board meeting is planned at James Dudley's home.
