Young Woman Sought as Murderer in Canton Killing
A about 22 year old well dressed woman is sought for the murder of Bernard E. Fearn a 35 year old coal mine operator shot at his home south of Canton Ohio. Fearn dying after five of six shots fired as he answered the door. His widow says the marriage was happy and he had a nine year old daughter Katheryn. The slayer fled to a nearby filling station then boarded a bus. The motive remains unknown.

Posses Hunt Murderer of Three People
Arkansas dispatch reports posses and bloodhounds hunted for an aged wanderer believed to have taken three fees from the Crawford county infirmary. Clifford Diffenbaugh, 44, its superintendent, Mrs. Deffenbaugh, 24, and John Nicholson, 60, were shot in their living room with two children nearby. Mrs. Deffenbaugh named Howell, the man she said did the shooting, as the killer before dying. Police pursued a suspect known as Bill Howell, who had recently been discharged from the infirmary for refusing to work.
