Fire Rages In Apartments Tenants Escape Unhurt
A two story six unit apartment building in Shepherdstown West Virginia burned for nearly three hours before flames were brought under control. The blaze caused about 15000 in damages to the building at E Main and Princess streets. Tenants including a 11 year old girl and a three year old child escaped unharmed. Firefighters from five towns battled the fire with eight trucks and an 85 foot ladder. Three firefighters suffered minor injuries from slipping on ice.
