Employers counter that NRA code raised costs raw materials rose and demand fell making wage and hour changes impractical.

Chicago report details a 15 year old girl named Anna Maietta who says she acted to protect her mother Jennie 38 from her husband James Maietta. She fired a pistol, killing Jennie and injuring James who was hospitalized and not expected to survive.
Detective William Peters promised an early arrest in the daylight robbery at Merchant Wholesale Corpora tion on North Prospect Street. The theft occurred between 10 and 11 am, yielding 138 in negotiable checks and 8 in cash, with three checks missing. two 50 each and one 38, drawn on Chambersburg Trust and the Pennsylvania State Highway Commission treasury. Local banks and merchants were urged to notify police if checks appear for payment.
