Plans Highlight AAA Talk At Washington Co Farmers Picnic
The annual Farmers Picnic at City Park drew about 2000 farmers and families as Francis Flood outlined AAA aims and the production control plan. Talks by C. E. Wise Jr. and Charles T. Cockey Jr. stressed co operation and open foreign markets while Downey chaired and the Neighborhood Trio provided music. Winners in children and youth contests were announced amid a noon basket dinner and entertainment by local bands.
