Marriage Law Upheld Delay 48 Hours In Elkton Case
In Elkton Maryland the Circuit Court ruled the 48 hour marriage delay law constitutional and not a violation of minister Joseph Baker's rights. The court said Baker failed to show any right or privilege to complain and ordered costs. The suit questioned alleged tampering with the statute and legislative waivers but the court did not rule on those points.
