The former Bond hotel on West Washington street will be dedicated this afternoon at 3 o'clock after a parade at 2 o'clock down West Washington street. Commissioner McIntyre Brigadier Seller and Lt Col Bailey will speak. The public is invited to attend and inspect the building open for visitation.

Youths Held for Larceny In Jewelry Store Ring Theft
Two teenage employees of a city chain store were held in default bond of 1000 dollars each for November grand jury action. Mil ton Kohler and Sons on West Washington street and Bentz and Mundey on North Potomac street were targeted for thefts. The suspects, ages 23 and 17, were arrested Saturday by Patrolman Brown, Constable Ferguson, and Deputy Sheriff Clarence G. Emmett after a clerk recognized them while they were about to enter another shop. Both had been living in Hagerstown about five months.

Shoemaker brothers face 18 months in Maryland jail
James Shoemaker, of Pigskin Ridge, and his brother Cleveland Shoemaker were sentenced to 18 months in the Maryland House of Correction after a hearing before Justice Leonard P. Snyder. James allegedly stabbed two men at a Parkhead dance hall on August 11 and collided with another man's vehicle. Cleveland allegedly tried to bar witnesses from the trial and was arrested on obstructing justice, released on $800 bond for a Tuesday hearing.
