A 24 year old attendant at Springfield State Hospital for the Insane is jailed in Westminster on assault and battery charges connected to injuries to J Frank Miller who died Friday in Hagerstown. Miller died 12 hours after the 4 am ward scuffle. autopsy cites brain hemorrhage with other injuries including a broken jaw and leg. Girl Reported Raped Saturday in Clearspring
A 22 year old woman from Williamsport Route 2 was assaulted and raped in Clearspring Saturday night. Deputy Harvey Mangans said the suspect, 46 year old Harvey Blake of Fairview Mountain, was held at Washington County Jail. The girl was left on a building porch when Blake allegedly dragged her into an alley and assaulted her. Doctors said she would need four or five days of medical care. A preliminary hearing for Blake is set for Friday evening in Clearspring.
