The Federal Reserve authorized direct six month emergency loans to individuals partnerships and corporations to finance current operations. Borrowing allowed on agricultural paper up to nine months and on trade and industrial paper up to three months with no speculative paper and without bank involvement. County Man Fined After Liquor Arrest Near Charles Town
George Holmes of Frog Hollow was stopped on Serryville road near Charles Town and three bottles of alleged liquor found. He pleaded guilty to transportation charges before Magistrate William C. Clipp, jailed in default of $81.30 fine and costs, and his automobile was confiscated.
