South High Clothing Students Show Proper Costume Technique
South Hagerstown High School advanced clothing class of two juniors and nine seniors completed a project to assemble and display handmade dresses with accessories. Under teacher Mrs DeWitt Miller, they borrowed items from Everly's Department Store to show how finishes, jewelry, and handbags complete outfits. Washington County Home Economics supervisor Mrs Robert Way praised the displays, noting cost savings matter less than personal accomplishment.
