YMCA Campaign Hits 8588.50 in Fund Drive
The YMCA fund drive closed with a total of 8588.50 raised. The campaign began last Tuesday evening and will sustain programs through the summer with additional help needed. Team totals show E N Funkhouser leading with 1485, Clarence Brosle Jr 445, Frank Bentz 276, and Mrs. H V Hart 206.50. A large share of the sum is pledges to be paid later. campaign cost was reported as 1.00. The weekend total reached 1783.

Men Seek Robbery Suspects After Cumberland Home Invasion
Two men believed to be the same pair active in Hagerstown are suspected of robbing W. E. Perham at 69 East Avenue Cumberland. Posing as engineers they sought to rent a room and stole 25 dollars cash plus five gold rings during the family’s absence. State's Attorney Huster briefed local officers on the Cumberland case.

Home blaze harms fireman and injures two in Rouzerville
Neighbors reported a fire at a home on Howard Naugle in Rouzerville Sunday night. Firefighters forced entry as the family was away, one fireman was overcome by smoke and two others were injured battling the blaze.

Training Hike Yields Scout Certificates In Frederick County
