Washington August 20 An appropriation of 160000000 to fund the administration broad farm price lifting program was approved today by the Senate in resuming debate on the agricultural relief bill. The fund would be reimbursed from receipts of the proposed processing tax and authority to spend part of the money to expand markets was included in the amendment offered by Chairman Smith on behalf of the Agricultural Department.
