A historic nursing school page notes growth from 1941 when the student body exceeded the old lecture room in the hospital. The doubled enrollment pushed use of the auditorium and recreation hall, with the auxiliary building serving as a lecture space as facilities became insufficient.
The recently completed remodeling lowers the ceiling, adds inter walls, bedside units and lab facilities, with new plumbing and lighting. Ivory and buff color scheme. The school now counts 80 student nurses, its largest cohort, as an accelerated course admits June and September classes. Cadet Nursing Corps offers uniforms and salary, boosting expected large June freshman enrollment.
