Balloon Found In Gulf With No Sign Of Missing Crew
A free balloon lost 19 days earlier was found about 20 miles from St Andrews in the Gulf by the motor boat Electra under Captain Ecker. No note or cut basket details. Five men from the local air station vanished March 22 during an all night flight and are presumed lost. The balloon bag was submerged but basket remained intact. Marion Robinette president of Diamond Products Co Cumberland was found dead in his bed at the Hamilton Hotel at eight this morning by two Cumberland friends A Ricker and R Bowman. Doctors Wareham and Victor Miller attended. The body was sent to Suter's morgue for burial preparation and shipment to Cumberland. Robinette, about 58, reportedly suffered diabetes with heart trouble as the stated cause.
