Territories Ignored at Cleveland Republican Convention

At the National Convention in Cleveland on June 12, the Republican platform for the first time since 1892 ignores American noncontinental territories and insular possessions. Governor Troy Seeks Alaska Airfield Expansion Aid

June 12 Gov. John W. Troy of Alaska, traveling east, tells interviewers he will seek Congressional backing for a $2,900,000 airfield program and landing field expansion in Alaska and for expanded mail service.
