Radio Clermont editors Jerry Monson and Eloise Ellis will join Don Herman on Editor's Notebook Sunday October 3 from 5:05 to 6 p.m. on WCKY. The program will feature insights from the Clermont Sun and Clermont Courier editors.
The Courier endorses a November 2.4 mill three year levy to build a Katavia library for 115000 books with an auditorium, Bethel and Milford facilities for 30000 volumes and meeting rooms, and a Union Township remodeling to add books and a meeting room. It argues a good library is the best investment.
Clermont County officials and Clermont National Bank executives released statements regarding the bank’s plan to relocate its main office to the Hamilton County side of Loveland. The statements outline county financing and lease details tied to a 35,000 square foot main office on SR 2 in Miami Township to support the bank’s relocation.
Clermont County Advisory Committee of Family Service of the Cincinnati Area invites parents and teenagers to a Batavia High School forum themed Youve Never Been Young in This World. Robert Olsson notes the event follows a Cincinnati success and will include student and adult discussion chaired by Stephan Batavia High School faculty. Admission is free. Call 732 2070 for details.
The Union Township zoning case involving the Lammrish property on Summerside will be decided by a November election vote. The change grants a zoning adjustment to allow single residences on 75 foot lots, down from prior requirements, raising questions about proper identification in the Sept 23 issue.
The Clermont County Historical Society sponsors a Kentucky tour departing Milford Shopping Center at 8 a.m. Sunday Oct 10. Stops include Paris Falmouth Lake Duncan Tavern Cane Ridge Meeting House and lunch at Highlanders Rockhaven Carlisle with a Washington site visit and Ripley Ohio return around 8 p.m. Reservations on a first come basis.
