R. Amanda Acres a partially finished federal housing project for seniors begun in 1972 sits idle at its Amelia site. Attorneys say a series of legal and loan disputes with Vaughn Construction and FHA have stalled work with a 60 day foreclosure window ending Oct. 6. If the loan is invalid the project may be closed and sold at sheriff sale to repay the lenders.
The Federal Highway Administration awards Clermont County a 600000 grant to establish a rural mass transit pilot. Congressman Harsha and Senator Taft announce the funding under the 1973 Highways Act. A county board will plan routes and schedules serving the elderly, disabled, and residents far from existing lines.
