Punt Pass and Kick Contest Date Set
Local youngsters 8 to 13 may register at Red Frazier Ford for the 13th annual Punt Pass and Kick contest co sponsored by the Milford Area Jaycees and Red Frazier Ford. The event is set for Saturday Sept 29 on a ballfield at the American Legion grounds with no entrance fee or body contact and no impact on amateur status.

Clermont Baptist All Star Games Set At Lindale Church
Clermont Baptist Softball League schedules All Star events on Saturday at Lindale church field. Girls meet Forestville at 3 pm with awards at 4 pm and officer elections at 4 30 pm. Men play at 5 pm with trophies at 6 30 pm. The county football season begins with 11 teams across Clermont County League and Eastern Hills League.

Goshen Girl Named to Ohio 4-H Teen Council
Cindy Scott of Goshen was selected as one of three 4-Hers from eight counties to join the Ohio 4-H Teen Council. She will help shape policy and serve on the Area Extension Committee with Clermont County peers. The honor followed a recognition breakfast at the Rhodes Center during the Ohio State Fair. She leads Goshen Go-Getter’s 4-H sewing club and is active in church and serves as secretary of FHA at Goshen High School.

Educator Andrew Courts Retires After 43 Years in Education
Guidance counselor Andrew Courts of Glen Este High School will retire after 43 years in teaching begun in Sterling Township Brown County. He spent 27 years at Mt Crab Local School District as teacher and counselor, earned a B S in Education, and has long involvement with Mt Orab United Methodist Church Brown County Teachers Association and Mt Crab Lions Club with 22 years of perfect attendance. He has two children Wilanna Steward of Cincinnati and Gary a science teacher in Miamisburg.
