The Batavia lodge welcomed two Grand Officers Huffman and Lyman for a fine talk last Friday night. After lodge the Daughters of Rebekah performed a drill, impressing attendees and adding to the evening's events.
The speech warns Teal faces an awful burden of four terms and urges voters to back the Republican ticket to defeat the Gang. Meyers and allies are tainted by the Williams faction, Sim Weaver is rejected for refusals to pledge to Nichols, and Fitzpatrick has no chance.
Gov Harmon addressed a Bethel audience at the Opera House to lay out reasons for a second term and to veto railroad opposed bills. He then spoke in Loveland that evening.
