County Seeks Federal Funds for Sewer Study
County commissioners urged by John L. Watson wrote Chicago for forms to apply for federal funds in a sewer study. About 49 million in interest free funds may be available through a public works program. Clermont, among 36 eligible Ohio counties, holds a top priority as a seven Aistrescad county in the Smith District. The plan would finance sewage facilities in unincorporated, densely populated areas. A public hearing is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at the commissioners office on the amendment requiring certificates of accuracy for new home occupancy.

Toddler Killed When Truck Rolls Onto Uncle’s Child
Debbie McQueen age 22 months, daughter of Mr and Mrs Theo McQueen, died after being crushed by her uncle Estel Hill's truck at the McQueen home on Hopewell Road. The accident occurred as the uncle stopped to take the girl's father to work. The body was taken to Dr Leonard Borland's office. coroner Dr A A Gruber and Police Chief Keith Gregory investigated. Funeral rites were held at Hayden Funeral Home with graveside at Pine Grove, Kentucky.
