Officers Visit Clermont County Exper iment Farm
Director Thorne and the Board of Control inspected the Clermont County Experiment Farm on Thursday October 12. Mr Scott praised crop improvements while Mr Thorne called fertility results marvelous. Framing Willie Stroup's Passing in a Community Tribute
The obituary recalls William Charles Stroup born Cincinnati October 22 1898 died October 4 1916. He was the only son of Charles W Stroup and Bertha Stroup. After childhood illness he grew hopeful but illness proved fatal after about ten days. The family notes the community’s sympathy with many floral offerings and visits. Willie was laid to rest at Mt Moriah cemetery with thanksgiving for his life and prayers from Rev Simpson and others.

Death of George Gunderly Jr. in East Batavia
George Gunderly Jr. died at his father’s home in East Batavia last Friday after weeks with consumption. A 50 year old employee in the city, he leaves children who reside here. He was a member of the Junior Order of Williamsburg which had charge of the funeral. Burial was in Union Cemetery Monday.
