The Northeastern Middle and High School PTA will hold a meeting on Tuesday October 22 at 7 30 p m in the middle school. The program features science students and Girl Scouts presenting activities.

Clermont County Commissioners approved adding five streets Lynne Clara Drive Elmecris Drive Deb Ranal Court Asticraft Street and Oak Leaf Drive to the county system on the recommendation of County Engineer Carl Rush. A separate note confirmed a favorable federal report on the Well-Child Clinic, the sole Antipoverty Program project in Clermont and Hamilton Counties directed by Dr. Martin Saidleman of Batavia.
Postmaster Arthur E. Hill of Batavia notes parcel post and catalog rates rise effective Saturday Oct 19. Average increases about 10.5 percent, with many parcels up 10 cents. local minimum rises 40 to 50 cents, outside area 50 to 60 cents, most under 1.10 up 10 cents, and higher hikes on larger charges. Rate changes aim to cover costs and offset postal employee pay boosts.
