Electrocuted at New Richmond Foundry
J. E. Armacost, a 66 year old New Richmond foundry employee with ten children, was electrocuted early Thursday while turning on the shop light. Instead of pulling the switch strap he grasped a bare 110 volt wire, a routine he had performed before. Many workers witnessed the fatal accident and his funeral was held Sunday.

Grand jury goes into session with 100 plus witnesses
The grand jury began a four day session after Judge Joseph’s instructions. Over a dozen cases are under investigation with more than 100 witnesses subpoenaed for Thursday. Road Contracts Let in State for 52 Miles of New Roads
On October 12 State Highway Commissioner Cowen will open bids for 52.06 miles of new state road in various counties. Estimated cost is 1,007,889.87 dollars.
