Fifty-Ninth Boys Enjoy Day at Highland Park
The remaining members of the old 59th regiment gathered at Highland Park last Saturday for a picnic day. The Olive Branch ladies provided a well patronized dinner. After a long day the comrades returned home showing signs of a hard day’s march though it was only a picnic. Time is speeding and future reunions may be held by their families in honor of those who served in defense of the country.

Chaplain Frank Richards of the Ohio penitentiary received his walking papers from Warden Thom last week. He had served since May 1, 1910 from Gallipolis. Richards sought reasons for his dismissal and was told there were sufficient reasons. He had been arrested six months prior for striking attorney Jeanette Cooper during a conference at the pen. he apologized and the case was dropped.
