A late letter from THOS. J. MORRIS denies the Sun’s charge that he received help to acquire several stocks of goods. He defies any editor or person to prove he ever had a stock of goods given to him.
The piece outlines Gen Gatch’s stance on cutting legislator per diems from three to two dollars during 1025-6 and 25 6, noting House passage, Senate rejection, and subsequent political maneuvering.
