Chain Crash Kills Two and Injures Seven Near New Richmond
A foggy Sunday crash on U.S. 52 west of New Richmond involving two cars and a truck killed Larry Pence 22 and Daniel S. Murphy 23 and injured seven others including two rear-seat passengers. Runaway Truck Kills Three in Highway Collision
A runaway tractor-trailer on U S 50 and Rt 222 at 3 05 p m Tuesday struck a car then hit a paving crew worker and a second car. Lamar Ratcliff Opal Ratcliff and Sam Buchanan were killed. Rescue crews extricated the Ratcliffs over an hour. Buchanan of Covington Ky died en route to Mariemont. Everett Cochran of the state highway department noted braking failure and the vehicle veered down Backbone Hill toward Abe Wenders eastbound car.
