Moscow Welcomes Fifty-ninth Regiment at Annual Reunion
The eighteenth annual reunion of Fifty-ninth Regiment survivors drew about five thousand people to Moscow on Saturday. A grand parade led by Gen. M. J. W. Holter preceded a large dinner at Grimes & Morton's warehouse. Col. S. A. Whitfield and others spoke as officers for 1888 were elected and New Richmond chosen for next year.

The Game Law Amended March 21 1887
The game law as amended sets hunting seasons for quail woodcock turtle dove and rabbit with penalties including fines from twenty five to one hundred dollars and up to thirty days imprisonment. Farmers must publish hunter trespass notices and violators are prosecuted by the Prosecuting Attorney.

Wrought Iron Bridge Completed at Stemblick Creek
The wrought iron bridge across Stemblick Creek at Col. Fd. Patchell's has been completed and its death gap closed. Built by Champion Bridge Company of Wilmington, it is praised as one of the county’s finest structures and the commissioners accepted the superstructure at their Monday meeting. Mr. L. A.
