Planners push zoning changes across several townships
The Planning Commission endorsed staff recommendations at its meeting, down zoning in Union Township and rezoning near Clough Pike. It approved two subdivision plans in Pierce Township and rejected a change to commercial use in Stonelick. In Union, 213 acres shift from M-1 to R-1, with another tract from R-3 to R-2 for higher density. Final plans for Commercial Boulevard Subdivision and KaBeard Hill Section II received approval, and Heritage Oaks residents won a sidewalk removal request to favor bus routes. Pierce approved Meadows Subdivision Block II plans and several lots along Fairway 13 and 14. Williamsburg approved a B-2 to B-2 zone on Old SR 32 Ellicks for a service business, but rejected a large mixed use plan near SR 133 due to environmental and treatment concerns linked to East Fork Lake.
