Boy Attacked by Stranger in Perintown Home
Ten year old Pearl Riley son of Mrs Robert Kernohan by adoption was attacked by a traveling tramp in the hallway after school last Wednesday. The robber struck him with a billy, bound and gagged him, leaving a bloody scene before escaping by river. The boy remained unconscious for hours but is now under care and improving.

Physician Arrested In South Lebanon Fire Case
Warren county residents report the arrest of Dr Spence a local physician suspected of setting fire to his South Lebanon home last Tuesday. An explosion alerted two passersby and investigators found burning rags and oil soaked materials in six spots and many holes in walls. The doctor was found asleep in his carriage in the stable as Fire Marshal Ambrose made the arrest.

Post Office Robberies Hit Highland County in 60 Days
A series of three daring post office robberies hit Highland County within two months. Greenfield yielded 5000 in stamps and cash, Lynchburg about 700, and Mowrystown 500 after a nitroglycerin blast. Thieves also looted the Star bakery and Powce restaurant, then stole a horse and buggy from George Cooper. The getaway outfit was found near Williamsburg.
