Program includes Batavia Orchestra invocation vocal solos by Mrs Dale K Parrott and Miss Mary Ellen Teal, an address by Rev Blodgett, short talks, and a benediction by H W Bailey with free admission.

Foley, administrator, will distribute the funds to Foley’s eight siblings and his parents receive 2000 dollars while the rest goes to siblings. Judge Ball orders the distribution with court costs excluded.
Uncle Sam advertises all Ohio mail routes to be let to the lowest bidder for four years from July 4. Details may be seen at the post office. The notice favors owners of stage lines railroads saddle horses automobiles bicycles and other conveyances by securing best service for the least money, especially on star routes.
A West Union Defender item reports a Adams County school pupil sent home due to a sick mother. The next day the child returned with a finger in her mouth and a hood string remark about a new baby, insisting the illness is not contagious.
Bob Allen the famous trotter, shown Friday in white ribbon, retires after a decade of wins. Master Mr. Custer announced the decision, saying Bob will no longer race in Adams county or elsewhere though still useful for turf. Bob won the citizens trot easily before retirement.
The State Board of Embalming Examiners last week issued a list of successful candidates from Cincinnati held exams. Clermont county entries include Estel Beck Bethel A C Bishop Goshen and L F White New Richmond.
The A G P Railway awarded the road bed grading contract to Joseph Kidd and A M Jeffries at 11 cents per yard for the line toward W F Roudebush. Ground breaking occurred for the Amelia branch trolley road on Wilber Apple’s farm last week with multiple teams grading the road bed.
