Three Pullman cars and Chief Engineer Hannaford’s private coach derailed near Packering Station in heavy rain wrecking the Grand Trunk Express to Montreal and Boston. A dozen were injured, one coach burned, track damage estimated at $100,000 as townspeople helped evacuate passengers.
