After years of trunk line congestion the Cincinnati & Suburban Bell Telephone Co announces toll charges for messages between different Clermont County exchanges starting December 1 1907. Warren County Pioneer Smith Ludlum Conklin Dies at 86
Smith Ludlum Conklin of Lebanon died at his home on October 30, 1907, in his 86th year. An early Warren County pioneer and noted builder, he was a leading Mason and active in secret societies. He fathered ten children, seven surviving, including Ed S. Conklin of Lebanon and Mrs. H. S. Hulick of Batavia. He was buried on November 1 with Masonic honors.

Mt Orab mourns Frank Schutzman superintendent and prominent teacher from Adams, Brown and Clermont counties. While returning from a hunt he laid a gun on a table. his son, a child, handled it causing a fatal discharge into his leg. Surgery failed to save him. he died three hours after the operation. Three Men Involved in Fatal Shanty Boat Shooting
At the mouth of Eagle Creek Brown County last week three men two of whom were Allen Davis and Hubbard occupied shanty boats with three women and three children.
